The Charter Point Assessment

Two versions. The five-minute one runs in your browser and costs nothing. The written one runs against your documents and produces a map. Both start the same way, which is honestly.

This page is general information for operators, current as of the date shown. It is not legal advice, and reading it does not create an attorney-client relationship. Specific facts change the answer.

The self-check

Twelve signals. It runs entirely in your browser, so your answers never leave this page. Signals, not legal advice.

The written assessment

This is the productized version of how every engagement begins. We run a fixed-scope review of your actual documents, covering entity and equity, the IP chain, customer and vendor paper, data and AI terms, and insurance. What comes back is a written exposure map, prioritized by severity, effort, and sequence.

  • Fixed scope, fixed fee: quoted on the scoping call and set before we start. If we go on to work together, it's credited against the engagement.
  • Typical turnaround: about two weeks from the document handoff.
  • Privileged: it's conducted under an engagement letter, so the findings stay protected.
  • Independent: many of the findings are things your own team can fix, and the report says which ones. No retainer required, and no obligation after.

What the deliverable looks like

What the written assessment delivers: a prioritized, plain-language map of where you stand.

Fifteen minutes. No pitch.

You talk, we diagnose. You leave with the two or three exposures worth addressing first, along with a straight answer on whether you need counsel now, including "not yet."
