Gregory Hale built CharterPoint around a gap he watched hurt good companies for years: the stretch where a business has become too real for templates but is not yet ready to hire a full-time general counsel. He has spent more than twenty years as counsel to technology companies, first inside law firms and then embedded with founders as their outside general counsel.
His work centers on technology and AI compliance, the area where the questions move fastest. He advises CEOs, COOs, and compliance leads on AI governance, security and privacy programs, enterprise contracts, and the corporate housekeeping that decides how a financing or an acquisition goes. Clients rely on him for judgment under deal pressure, not just documents.
Gregory earned his law degree from a leading law school and is admitted to practice in Washington and before the federal courts. He writes and speaks regularly on the legal questions facing companies at the point of scale.
